Tonight was the Finale of Deadwoods 3rd and final season. While there will be two feature length episodes to put a lid on the series, this is the last time it will air..
I found the finale to be a dissapointing if not fitting finale. The entire season building to a war between Hearst and Swearengen. The episode ends with the oppossing armies facing off in the thoroughfare. To which Hearst responds by just getting up and saying “see ya chumps!” :) This episode was really Swearengen’s time to shine. Ian McShane showed alot of character and heart. As well as his own ruthless deviance.
The show will be missed.
